60+ small, nurturing residential care homes
We provide quality care in homely and nurturing environments. Unlike many other young-person-centred care homes, our homes are small. We offer young people the right environment to overcome trauma in a safe space and offer you a lovely home-from-home work environment, often featuring a nice outdoor space.

Solo homes
Our UK-wide solo homes provide dedicated care for young people with complex emotional and social difficulties, where group living is not appropriate. Most of our solo homes can be found in semirural locations, offering calm, open spaces and the opportunity to heal.

Dual homes
Our dual homes offer a smaller setting for two young people who need therapeutic placements in small groups. A dual home enables both children to develop socialisation skills while learning new things and experiencing fun activities and excursions together.

Group homes
We have several small group homes which can accommodate up to 3 or 5 young people. They provide a homely, therapeutic setting where they can live, learn, and progress together. In many cases, our young people arrive in a group home after stepping down from either an assessment placement or solo setting. Our home and therapeutic teams work closely to ensure a positive transition between the two so that a young person feels secure, confident, and ready to handle a group environment.

Specialist assessment homes
Our assessment homes offer a lifeline to young people between 7 and 18 years old in crisis. They provide local authorities with immediate intervention and offer short-term, urgent care. They’re equipped for emergency and non-emergency admissions, with accommodation available within 6 hours of referral. Our assessment homes offer young people security, support, and stabilisation in a nurturing and peaceful environment over 12 weeks. Every placement provides access to education and the opportunity to participate in an outdoor adventure programme. This is all underpinned by our therapeutic assessment model, which helps us determine what support a young person needs and defines their next steps. This could include a transition into one of our solo or group homes, a foster care placement or reunification with their family. Most importantly, our assessment strategy helps us understand what’s right for a young person and their needs.

3x independent SEND schools
We have 3 Esland schools, Bedford, Daven and Grantham and their aim is to prepare young people for the future they deserve. Each school has their own ethos, approach, individual identities, and creative curriculums. The Turning the Curve™ model works in all our schools and we’re dedicated to giving children the opportunity to learn in a way that’s right for them and their specific needs.
